The Applied Computational Genomics Course

The Applied Computational Genomics Course has provided hundreds of biologists and geneticists the skills to embark on the field of bioinformatics. No prior computer programming experience is assumed. Participants learn to work with a number of relevant tools for bioinformatics, including Bluejay (especially for data visualization), BioMoby, BIRCH, and other programs intended to facilitate workflows. An introductory section on Perl is also provided to give researchers hands-on experience with reading and writing code.
