Human Populations & Genetics: Past, Present, and Future

By Mike Spear
Human migration across the planet is a fascinating study. Did you know that through analysis of DNA, your early origins determined and the path your ancestors took across the globe can be traced. Today our sheer numbers are causing unprecedented climate change, though climate change ironically, may have been the impetus to many of the human migrations over the eons. Africa, Asia, India among other regions carry clues to human meanderings that tie us all in a uniquely tangled web of relation. Dr. Beth Shook, Professor, Chico State University and a physical anthropologist, will be the guest speaker for the evening.
